Difference between DARK SOULS REMASTERED and the original
For the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows versions, in addition to full HD (1080p) the game will run at 60fps. The texture and lighting effects have also been improved.
When played on the PS4 Pro、Xbox One X and 4K compatible Windows PC connected to a 4K television or a 4K monitor, players can enjoy the game on further improved graphics.
For the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X the game will display in up-scaled 4K, while for the Windows PC version the game will display in Native 4K.
The maximum number of players has increased from 4 to 6
Will require a “Dried Finger” in order to play with 6 players (can be purchased from the merchant at Undead Burg).
In the original game, the Dried Finger was obtainable at the Painted World of Ariamis but has been changed so that the item is obtainable from an earlier stage. The Dried Finger at the Painted World of Ariamis will now be replaced with “Twin Humanities”
Password Matching is now available. Like Dark Souls 3. When a player is summoned in Password Matching the player level will be synched
In addition to password matchmaking, it is now easier for friends to be matched with each other. When the guest player’s character level and weapon is higher than that of the host player, the level will be adjusted accordingly
Healing items will not be available during PvP with the exception of Estus Flask. To prevent long and drawn out battles, the number of Estus Flasks is halved for phantoms.
When a player defeats an invading phantom, their Estus Flask is restored
Players can now turn on/off regional matchmaking
Players can now prevent matched red phantom players from seeing your “White Sign Soapstone” sign via option.
Players can no longer summon ally phantoms consecutively when in combat with enemy phantoms
In online play, players who are outside of the Host’s parameter range will not be matched with each other (the players can still be matched via Password Matching)
3v3 team and 6 player death match has been added
The arena will also use password matching
Unlike the original game, the respawn point will be random (Like Dark Souls 3)
