Can this be played as a standalone game?
God of War (2018) is acting as a soft reboot of the franchise and takes the series into the world of Norse mythology for the first time. All previous games in the series have focused on Greek mythology.
What characters will feature in God of War?
Kratos will return to take his vengeance on the Olympian gods many years after his final encounter with Zeus. Kratos is now living with his son Atreus in the world of Norse mythology.
What new weapons will be available?
Kratos lost his signature double-chained blades at the end of God of War III from 2010. Therefore, in this edition he will use a magical axe that can be injected with elemental abilities. The axe is able to be used in numerous ways, including being thrown at foes.
Is God of War a multiplayer game?
No. Although the previous instalment, Ascension, featured a multi-player campaign, this soft reboot will be single player orientated.
Will God of War run at 4K resolution?
Yes, God of War is fully Pro Enhanced, but is also designed with the standard PS4 Pro in mind as well.
